Experiential learning - Class XI & XII(SCI)

The students of class XI and XII are taken to VISHWESHVARAYA INDUSTRIAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL MUSEUM in Bangalore for learning the concepts by their experience

Learning objectives:

  1. The aim of the visit is, Learning should be done by doing. By engaging students in hands-on experiences and reflection, they are better able to connect theories and knowledge learned in the classrooms to real-world situations.
  2. Different versions of engines used in vehicles are available to know its functioning.
  3. Machines systems like pulley system, gears, various motion-transfer mechanisms, levers, inclined planes and screws that reduce effort are all easy to understand by doing. The use of straightforward devices in everyday life is going to be learned.
  4. The science of sound, optics, fluids will give out the idea about the properties of matter.
  5. Oersted experiment, Barlow’s wheel and Faraday’s ring, electrostatics, Tesla coil and a van de graff generator will give the information about electric field and magnetic field and also the students will get the idea of why unification of these two fields are needed.
  6. Nowadays we are in the position to take the space and science technology to the next level, ISRO art gallery will give enough information about the achievements and future missions.
  7. The science on a sphere provides a path to understand the origin of earth and its importance on the survival, how to protect earth from the natural disasters. This led to the students will learn the morals, values and concern about the conservation of the environment.
