Janmashtami Celebration

Janmashtami is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Krishna. This festival is celebrated in almost all parts of India. Krishna was born in Mathura, and therefore, Janmashtami is a huge festival in Mathura and is celebrated with a lot of devotion and dedication. The entire city is decorated, and the people seem to be very happy and in a joyous mood. Not only in Mathura, but people from all over the country also celebrate this festival with a lot of devotion. A lot of people decorate their house with flowers and fast the entire day and wait for Lord Krishna to take birth. After the Bal Krishna is born, people break their fast and eat the first food of the day. After Lord Krishna is born, people place the idol on the swing and treat the idol as their own child. People act like Bal Krishna and conduct dramas in the societies and celebrate this day. They distribute sweets and other favourite foods of Bal Krishna to enjoy this day.
